Palo Santo is a tree native to Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula south to Peru and Venezuela. It is also found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador and on the Galapagos islands. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh.
Palo Santo is now a protected resource, as its precious oil was harvested through deforestation for several decades. There has been a strong movement for replanting and replenishing this beloved wood that has been used in many South American cultures, such as the Incas, for centuries. We obtain our Palo Santo from trusted and ethical vendors who only harvest from naturally fallen trees.
This bundle comes with four (4) three (3) inch sticks.
How to use:
Light one end at a 45 degree angle, allowing it to burn for about 45 seconds.
Blow out, allowing the smoke to do it's thing. Keep it smoking longer by blowing on the smoldering side, this gives it the oxygen to keep going.
Place in a safe place in a safe container, allowing it to go out on its own.
